We do not publish prices, because the right price depends on size, thickness, finish and where it is going. Send us those details and you will get a real quotation, not a range.
Travertine forms around hot mineral springs, where dissolved calcium settles out of the water in layers. Gas escaping through those layers leaves the small natural holes that are the stone unmistakable signature. Most of the world supply now comes from the Denizli region of Turkey.
It runs from ivory and walnut through to silver and a soft noce brown, always with visible banding. It is a warm, tactile, distinctly unmodern stone, and it is the material of choice for spa bathrooms, courtyards, garden walls and Mediterranean-style architecture.
It is supplied either filled, where the natural holes are grouted flush and then polished for a smooth surface, or unfilled, where the holes are left open for a rustic outdoor texture. We ask which you want at order stage because the difference in look and in cleaning is significant.
