We do not publish prices, because the right price depends on size, thickness, finish and where it is going. Send us those details and you will get a real quotation, not a range.
Statuario is quarried in the Apuan Alps above Carrara in Tuscany, from the same mountain that has supplied European sculpture and architecture since Roman times. It is a bright, slightly warm white marble crossed by strong, well-spaced grey veins that are far bolder than those of Carrara.
It is the most requested imported marble in the world, and it is genuinely rare. The bright-white, boldly veined material is only a small fraction of what comes out of the mountain, which is why real Statuario costs what it does.
It is supplied in book-matched pairs so that a large wall or an island front can be laid as a mirrored butterfly pattern. Statuario is a soft, calcium-based stone, so it will etch under lemon, vinegar or wine, and we always say so plainly. Used on a feature wall, a vanity or a low-traffic floor it is unmatched; on a working kitchen counter we usually suggest a quartzite or Alaska White instead.
