Carrara White is the everyday marble of Tuscany and the most widely used marble in the world. Where Statuario is bright white with bold veins, Carrara is a softer, cooler grey-white, and its veining is fine, feathery and spread evenly across the slab.

That evenness is its practical advantage. Because the pattern is quiet and consistent, Carrara can be run over a whole bathroom, a hotel corridor or a large floor without becoming visually noisy, and slabs from different blocks still sit together acceptably.

It is a soft stone and it patinas with use. Many clients now choose it honed rather than polished for exactly that reason: a honed surface takes the inevitable small marks of daily life gracefully, where a mirror polish makes each one obvious.
