We do not publish prices, because the right price depends on size, thickness, finish and where it is going. Send us those details and you will get a real quotation, not a range.
Onyx is a banded calcite stone formed in caves, and it has one property no other architectural stone shares: it is translucent. Cut thin and lit from behind, an onyx panel glows, and the banding inside it lights up like coloured glass.
That is almost always why it is chosen. Backlit reception desks, bar counters, feature walls, altar panels and washbasin fronts are its natural home. It comes in honey, green, white, pink and amber, and the banding is always dramatic.
It is the most delicate stone we supply. It is soft, it can be brittle, and slabs are normally reinforced with a mesh backing before cutting. We do not recommend it for floors or for any working surface. Used as a lit feature panel, though, nothing else comes close.
