Kandla Grey is a mid to dark grey sandstone with quiet shading that moves through blue-grey and light brown. It is probably the most widely specified Indian sandstone for outdoor paving, and it is used in enormous quantity in both India and Europe.

The reason is simple: it is a grey that does not look flat. Cheap grey paving is uniform and lifeless; Kandla Grey has enough natural variation that a laid patio looks like stone. It also darkens attractively when wet rather than looking patchy.

It is supplied riven, sawn, honed or shot blasted, and in the standard project sizes and mixed patio packs. It is dense for a sandstone, holds up under vehicle traffic on a driveway, and does not need sealing in normal outdoor use.
