Silver Shine is the best known Indian quartzite. The base colour runs from silver grey to a soft green-grey, and packed through it are flakes of muscovite mica. Those flakes are what produce the sparkle, and in direct sunlight a Silver Shine wall genuinely glitters.
It splits naturally along its bedding planes, which means it can be supplied as thin, hand-split sheets with an uneven riven face. That natural face is what most clients want for elevation cladding, boundary walls and garden features, because it looks like stone rather than like a manufactured tile.
It is extremely hard and takes very little water, so it survives monsoon and summer heat without spalling or staining. On paving it stays cool enough to walk on barefoot and gives good grip when wet.
