Golden Quartzite is a honey to pale gold stone with cream and light brown banding and the fine mica shimmer common to the whole quartzite family. It is the lightest and warmest of the group, and it brightens a wall considerably compared with the grey and copper varieties.
It is a favourite for hotel and resort work, where an entrance wall or a lobby column clad in golden quartzite gives immediate warmth under artificial light. In residential work it is used for elevation panels, compound walls and around water features, where the gold tone reflects nicely off moving water.
Like all quartzite it is hard, dense and low in porosity. It carries a natural split face straight from the quarry, and it can also be honed to a smooth matt surface where a cleaner, more modern line is needed.
