We do not publish prices, because the right price depends on size, thickness, finish and where it is going. Send us those details and you will get a real quotation, not a range.
Coin Black gets its trade name from the round, coin-sized pale marks spread across a dark grey-black ground. Those marks are feldspar clusters that formed as the rock cooled, and their size and spacing shift from block to block, which gives the stone a lively, unfussy texture.
It sits usefully between the two extremes: it is not as plain as Absolute Black and not as loud as Black Forest. That makes it a good all-rounder for large areas where you want some movement in the surface but not a strong directional pattern. Lobby floors, stair treads and corridor cladding are its natural home.
The stone is hard and takes a good polish. Because the pale spots break up the surface, it is also more forgiving of dust and light scratching than a flat black stone, which matters in a building with heavy foot traffic.
