In a full body tile the same pigmented mix runs from the top face all the way to the bottom. Snap one in half and the broken face looks the same as the surface. That is the whole point of the product.

It matters in two situations. First, in industrial and heavy commercial use, where a dropped tool chips a corner and a white scar would be obvious. Second, wherever tiles are cut on site around a column, a drain or a step nosing, because the cut edge needs no trim to hide it.

Full body tiles are the toughest tile we supply and they are commonly specified with an anti-skid surface for factory floors, workshops, station platforms and outdoor walkways. They are also the correct choice for a step tread where the tile edge is visible.
